Butch Beckman – Owner

Butch is a native of Eau Claire Wisconsin. He grew up playing baseball for the Huskies at Eau Claire North before going on to play college ball at Sacramento State University. He is a 27 year resident of Virginia where he met his wife Susan.

Professionally, Butch comes from a diverse background which includes 12 years of management experience with large companies and 9 years of management and business development in the restoration industry. He is IICRC certified in three areas and well versed in dealing with customers. They are priority number one!

Butch and his team specialize in cleaning wall to wall carpeting, oriental and area rugs, tile grout, upholstery, strip & wax, buff and shine, and drapery cleaning. Capital has an exceptionally well-trained staff and understanding that our customers come first.

Our Team

Anita Cox

Anita, our part time office manager, has over 21 years experience in office management as well as five years of marketing in the restoration industry. Anita is determined to help us grow our company.

Michelle Clark

Michelle has a unique position, in the sense that she handles office responsibilities for both Capital Carpet and Dust Bunnies of Hampton Roads. She is an accomplished softball player in her own right and has a daughter Alyssa that is following in her footsteps.

Nate Banks

Nate is the newest addition to our team, and he comes to us with great customer service skills. Nate’s background is in the service industry as a waiter and has shown a great knack for learning how we conduct business. He is learning new things every day and has already received the most positive reviews in our company. Nate is a Williamsburg native, where he and his twin brother attended Layfette High school and were accomplished athletes.

Donovan Killingsworth

I like to give Donovan a hard time because I have known him since he was 2 years old. His father and I used to play baseball together. Donovan is hungry to learn everything he can about the business and is a hard worker. He was an accomplished football player at Lafayette High School in Williamsburg.

Joel Smith

Joel is a lifelong resident of Williamsburg and comes to us  with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been a wealth of knowledge to our staff.  Joel graduated from Lafayette High School where he excelled at multiple athletic endeavors and is still an active softball player.

Community Involvement

Butch is actively involved in his church, St Luke’s United Methodist, in Yorktown, Virginia. He enjoys leading his Sunday School class as their Vice President. He also volunteers at the PORT Homeless shelter in the winter.

Butch’s other passion is his involvement as a volunteer and committee member with Edmarc Hospice for Children. In association with another organization, Butch has run a charity golf tournament for the past six years. Edmarc is the primary benefactor of the tournament’s proceeds. He is also involved in Edmarc’s largest charity event, “The Hope Gala.” In 2016, the Gala raised over $76k for Edmarc. Please visit edmarc.org for more information on this wonderful local charity in our community.

Capital Carpet and Services is proud to serve as the affiliate chair of their local chapter of NARPM, National Association of Realtors and Property Managers, Virginia Peninsula. Capital Carpet is IICRC Certified; Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification.
